ArtWalk!
Downtown Owego's ArtWalk
Happens This Friday, July 15
Local merchants and artists collaborate the third Friday of every month with ArtWalk, an evening of shopping and art. Local shops and galleries offer extended hours, from 5:00 to 9:00pm, so that visitors can appreciate the shopping and art experience.
This Friday's ArtWalk will include the works of local photographers and will expand to Draper Park on Front St., one of the entrances to Owego's new RiverWalk. Local photographers will include Kathy Place, Robert Och, Jim Danvers, and Vince Engbith to name a few.
The following businesses will feature artists:
- Anything Artistic, 173 Front St.: John Pidcoe and Tiffany Hansen (various mediums)
- Artisan's Townhouse, 42 Lake St.: Georg Schwartz (mixed media)
- ArtSpace Gallery, 179 Front St.: John Norris (abstract acrylics and photography)
- Black Cat Gallery, 170 Front St.: Karla and Amber Brode (felted wool items)
- East of the Sun, West of the Moon, 206 Front St.: Louise Woodard (watercolor paintings); Sharon Webb and Bob Merwin (acrylic paintings)
- French Alley, 35-1/2 Lake St.: Shirley Robilotto (porcelain paintings)
